Mike is the owner and operator of Mike’s Flooring & Design Center. Mike bought Carpet Connection in 1996 as a single father supporting two daughters. Mike changed the name to Mike’s Carpet Connection and involved his daughters in the business from the beginning. In January of 2020, with his business changing and flourishing in not only the carpet area but also other flooring options including luxury vinyl plank and window treatments, Mike changed the name to Mike’s Flooring & Design Center. Mike spent many years as a Customer Service Technician Specialist with Xerox Corporation on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Mike’s goal is to provide fair, ethical treatment to his customers, both in sales and in service. Mike believes the right product is always a balance between quality and price. Mike began with the “golden rule” we learned in kindergarten or Sunday school and expanded it as a business principle. Mike’s philosophy revolves around great customer service. Mike’s Flooring & Design Center is a family owned and operated business.

Steve has been a loyal floor covering Account Executive with Mike’s Flooring & Design Center for 19 years. Steve has been in the floor covering industry for 32 years and is originally from South Jersey. He started working for Color Tile and managed two stores and then started his own ceramic tile installation business. He came to work for Mike in 1999 and has been with Mike’s Flooring & Design Center ever since. He is knowledgeable in all aspects of floor coverings (carpet, ceramic tile, vinyl composition tile, luxury vinyl tile or LVT, hardwood and laminate).

Jody Weaver recently relocated from Baltimore, Maryland to Selbyville, Delaware and is our Office Manager. Jody has over 40 years experience in the Financial Services and Human Resource Industry. Jody also established her own Company for three years offering Accounting and H/R services in supporting small businesses. As our Office Manager, Jody provides financial support services to our employees, vendors and suppliers. She also maintains the proper licenses and insurance in the States of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia for our company and installers. All-inclusive, she provides financial stability for the company and for the quality services performed for our customers.

Jessica has been in the flooring industry for over seven years. She is very knowledgeable in all areas of floor coverings, countertops, and Porcelain / Ceramic Tile applications. Jessica has also been on the ordering and accounting side as well, providing her with additional knowledge to ensure the projects she handles goes as smooth as possible, with her client’s budget in mind, creating an environment where her clients can feel at ease, and give them the “peace of mind” they deserve from start to finish. Jessica was born and raised in Bethany and has lived locally ever since. Jessica is a devoted single mother to two daughters, Ava and Aubree. In her spare time, you can find her at the softball field or the beach making memories with her loved ones. Brian is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, however, he has lived in the Sussex County, Delaware area for the last 24 years.  Brian is a single Father with 2 teenage sons. He enjoys all the shore offers and often travels back to Baltimore to visit my favorite sports teams. Brian has a burning passion to create exquisite interiors that reflect his clients personal, unique style. With a deep understanding of design, construction, and the Delmarva Coastal Communities, Brian likes to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary from the driveway to the rooftop and everything in between!  His 19 years of industry expertise have led him to specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, closets, countertops, flooring, tile and appliances remodels and renovations. These are all direct extensions of his former new home design and construction experience. This experience translates and ensures a seamless and luxurious design experience for his clients.  Brian's goal is to elevate his clients space from "drab to fab!"  Brian will work tirelessly for his clients to combine colors and textures, with both form and function that when combined, seamlessly create a visual balance in each space. Joe is very passionate at whatever he does.  With his keen interest in kitchens, countertops, bathrooms, and flooring, combined with his strong commitment and dedication, Joe's has created a history of success with himself and his clients. With 35 years of experience owning his own business in sales, service, and management, Joe demonstrates a strong ability to not only meet, but exceed his client's needs. Outside of work, Joe has coached Elementary School football and baseball, little league baseball, American Senior Legion, and has organized and raised proceeds for Charity Golf outings.  Joe enjoys fishing, golfing, motorcycles, hiking, home improvement, and working on DIY projects.
