The team at Mike’s Flooring & Design Center is passionate about improving the communities we live and work in every day. Community outreach is a way of life for our team, many of whom choose to donate their time to charitable causes outside of Mike’s Flooring & Design Center. Below is a selection of some of the organizations we support and volunteer our time.
Believe In Tomorrow Children’s Foundation
Believe in Tomorrow is part of the National Children’s Foundation. Mike’s Flooring & Design Center contributed to the 16th Annual Gala by the Sea Fundraiser event. All proceeds benefitted children and their families influenced by the organization. Believe In Tomorrow provided over 855,000 overnight accommodations to critically ill children and their families.
Mike’s Flooring & Design Center contributed to “Holiday Wrappings” Fashion Show & Luncheon. All proceeds went to finding a cure for cancer and supporting the woman afflicted with this sickness. There were over 700 woman in attendance, two of which were representatives of Mike’s Flooring & Design Center. Mike’s Flooring & Design Center also contributed to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 20th Anniversary event. The event was the Pink Ribbon Classic Golf Tournament in ocean city, followed by a 5K walk and run marathon.
The 20th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament was a success this past year. All proceeds went to local high school scholarships (Indian River, Stephen Decatur and Worchester Prep). Mike’s Flooring & Design Center contributed twice to this event in 2018, supporting the local High Schools.
Annually, Mike’s Flooring & Design Center makes charitable contributions to the Blue Jean Ball supporting Sussex County, Delaware. This organization helps individual families affected by autism throughout the state of Delaware targeting Sussex County. Organizational support includes family mentoring, advocacy, social and recreational outings and opportunities for work in Delaware by those affected.
